Retrospective Outlook

The class structure was a unique experience calling for a reflective and introspective outlook on our work before hitting the writing page. I appreciated this class because it helped me break down the writing process and understand what you should question and ponder before writing. It also allowed me time to reflect on my views and how learning new information challenged my past perspectives. This retrospective process helped me grow my writing style, developing a sense of character through an academic lens. I found the blogs very helpful to be able to evaluate our writing process before the final draft submission; it also helped us pace ourselves during the writing process, and allowed for further reflection on the purpose of our writing, what we want to convey to the reader, what is unique about our argument, and how our sources are helping us get there. I also liked the peer-reviewing process, as evaluating other writing helped me evaluate my work and see what my paper was missing
